how to read knitting pattern?
how do you read this??
i am trying to knit a mohair beret, and this is the first part of the instructions:
Round1: * K1, p1*, repeat * to *.
Round2-9: Same as round1.
i can kind of read it. but for round 1, it says * K1, p1*, repeat *to *.
does that mean that for round 1, i have to knit one row, then purl one row, THEN do it all over again, or am i only supposed to knit one row and purl one row and thats it for round 1?
this question might not make any sense, but i really want to make this beret and i need help!!!
thank you!! ![]()
and here is the pattern:

You will be knitting in rib stitch (or it could be seed stitch, depending on how many stitches you have) for the first 9 rounds.
