Where can I buy lanolin rich wool knitting yarn?
I’d like to buy yarn directly from the mill, no dyes, to knit an Aran sweater.
You can try Knitpicks.com. Their “Bare” has some of the lanolin still in it, but I’m not sure exactly how much you want. www.yarn.com also has some yarns on the cone that still have oils in them.
Alternatively, you can buy undyed yarn from any source, go to a livestock supply shop, buy lanolin, and treat the yarn yourself.
Many of my friends who live in wetter climates treat their knitted outerwear with lanolin.
