How do I make different shapes when Knitting?
I only know how to make squares and rectangles. I just started knitting three days ago and I have half of a scarf! Hehe. Can anyone recommend a video or website that shows the step by step to creating a simple small project?

Slow down and read the directions out loud to yourself. This often helps greatly in trying to understand things. Sure, you’ll feel like an idiot for a few minutes, but then you’ll get it and you’ll feel pretty smart about it.
First read out loud the explanations for all those abbreviations. That’ll help. Basically, the heart is started by casting on only two stitches, then increasing from there. You start at the bottom point, from what I can tell. Once you’re done increasing, you knit one of the top bumps and then the other.
Do you know about felting? That’s when you knit something in real wool and deliberately shrink it. Usually, it’s done in a washer and dryer. It gives a much thicker ‘fabric’ to your piece. That’s felting. These hearts are felted. If you’d rather use acrylic and not felt it, use a worsted yarn and a needle a size or two smaller than recommended on the yarn wrapper. That’ll give a really tight knit so the stuffing won’t come out.
