Knitting help, please!!!?
I am knitting a baby blanket (want to knit one) for my neice for christmas, I’m a beginner, I haven’t done knitting since I was like 8 and did little rows with my grandmother. I have no idea what i’m doing. I have started, but mess up every time. I look at sites, and the termology is so confusing.. what’s all this about? K7 stitch back, purl stitch….dont have a clue. I know how to do the knit stitch and purl stitch, but I can’t make a baby blanket unless I know what i’m doing. I don’t have stitch markers, and that’s what I need I guess? Can anyone help me out. Step by step for me, as I am a beginner, and desperately need help with this. I can make rows, but where do I go from there. Can I use something in my home to substitue for the stitch markers. I’m having a really hard time with this, so any help will come in handy. Thanks in advance

As for stitch markers, you can make your own by tying some yarn together to make a little circle. Or if you have any rings (e.g., jump rings if you make jewelry, etc) lying around your house.
