Am I making assumptions in knitting pattern?
Hiya
I am desperately trying to knit the beaded shrug in knit.1 (spring summer 2009). I have started with LEFT FRONT and now I am stuck at the armhole/neck shaping. I have identified two problems below.
Problem 1 – bind off 5(6, 7) sts at beg of next row, then at same (armhole) edge, bind of 5 sts once, 3 sts once, then 2 sts once.
What does this mean? Do I bind off for each following or alternative row?
Problem 2 – Dec 1 stitch from armhole edge on next row, then every other row 2 (3, 4) times more. Work even for 2 rows. Beg neck shaping as follows:
Here, do I do a purl row before I work even for 2 rows? Generally the pattern has read that I complete a wrong side row before commencing further shaping, so am I correct in assuming that I do the same here?
I would be very grateful if someone could please help me out.

I would assume you bind off on alternate rows as you usually bind off at the start of a row.your second problem I would do dec when on right side rows if pattern says “complete a wrong side row etc”.hope I have been of help to you.Happy New Knitting Year to you.
