The easiest way is to just type ‘knit needle conversion’ into your search box – you will get hundreds of charts.
I’m Aussie and don’t see what the problem is – just walk into any place (including supermarkets) where they sell needles and wool/yarn and you will see that most needles now have US/Imperial/cm sizes on them.
Just be very careful if you are using US crochet instructions – their stitches are totally different from the UK stitches you may have learned from.
