Knitting Instructions

knitting instructions
How can you use a different yarn on a knitting pattern not used in the instructions?

So you don’t waste money on several different skiens of yarn, The weight of the yarn should be listed in the instructions. Worsted or Bulky are very thick, sports weight or D K or N K are medium weight yarns, fingering or baby weigh yarns are very small. You might want to go to the library or a book store to get a reference book on knitting they usually have a conversion chart some where in the book. If you go to a small specialty store they should also be able to help. They usually know they’re product. The problem is that they have expensive yarns. Hobby Lobby and big store Know diddly and are a major pain in the ass. You also need to buy the same dye lot (color) to complete the project. gauge is usually to determine the needle size you need. If you are a beginner, you will need larger needles then recommended because your nervous and your stitches will be tighter. If you are a relaxed knitter, you need smaller needle because your sts will be looser and larger. Unfortunately, the U.K. and America use different terms for the same thing and I wish you the best of luck. I have been a teacher for several years so if you want to know more contact me.
