I need to buy a book on knitting?
Can anyone recommend any books on knitting, a sort of ‘how to’ guide? It must be the basics, for beginners.
It’s a birthday present. That’s why I NEED a book. Youtube videos are of no use to me.
There’s always the “For Dummies” series. I think they have a knitting book. That might work for you. Normally, I’d say go to your public library and look at their beginning knitting books.
If you’re mainly a visual learner, get books with lots of pictures.
If you’re mainly an auditory learner, get books with good descriptions and read them aloud to yourself.
If you don’t know, get some of both.
Check out 3 or 4 of them, including one kids’ book. The instructions are usually better. Look through the books, begin to knit, see which one you like best. Write down the title and author of the one or ones you prefer. Return them all to the library, and then hit www.bookfinder4u.com to find that book you liked best. Buy that one.
