What does Stitch mean in a knitting pattern?
once again i am faced with a problum with my beaded coin purse that i am knitting. it says to stitch one and then knit accross. what do they mean by stitch????

it is stitch. S. T. I.C.H. abreviatied to St. but it has a spot where it explanes abrevieations and it clearly states that St means stitch.
turns out, I must have been really tired when i looked at the pattern as it says s1 and i thought it said st. woops, now i feel stupied…
Your pattern doesn’t say STITCH 1, it says S1 which is SLIP 1. Just move the stitch from one needle to the other without knitting it.
