The guide to wearing a knit romper
Knit rompers are often worn by young children and some fashion-gurus have stated their discontent at the look, saying that no one over the age of four should wear one. I for one would disagree, because it is evident that when worn correctly, knit rompers make their wearers look cute and petit. Let’s look at some things to consider when wearing a knit romper, before you could find yourself regretting buying one in the first place.
It is important to purchase a romper that fits your proportions perfectly. For example, some knit rompers have accessories like a belt on them, to help define the waistline. It is important to find the right romper, where the waist-defining accessory would be exactly where it should be – around your waist. Another important thing to consider when looking for a romper is to find a romper that is balanced in its top half and bottom half. Having a romper that buttons up to your neck, but has a very short skirt can ruin anyone’s look.
When wearing a romper, it is important to remember that the shape of the romper must be more dress-like rather than the shape of a jumpsuit. Sometimes, the belt or waistband will make you look as if you are wearing matching top and shorts, which is very undesirable. To avoid this, you could wear a cardigan or avoiding rompers that have patterns.
It is also important to wear the fashion-correct shoes with a knit romper. It is highly recommended to promote a casual theme wile wearing your romper, so it is recommended that you wear flat shoes to knit rompers. Heels and dressy shoes would ruin the casual look and are best to be avoided. It is also good to moderate the amount of jewelry you wear and the amount of make-up you apply.
