How much would you pay for beautiful knitted shawls and cardigans? Here is why I ask …?
My mum and dad could do with a bit more income and my mum knits my baby stunning shawls and cardies, the workmanship is fab and I wondered if you were able to order one, the size you want also the colour etc would you do it and how much would you pay?

She uses real wool but at the moment I just wondered if its something that people still like, dont know everything that she can do, please dont think i’m trying to advertise as i am not, just wondered if people still liked the traditional type things for babys.
Here is the thing. First you need to asses the cost of the yarn she uses to make it. Then you need to figure out how long it takes her to make it. After you do that, you will be able to figure out exactly how much goes in and how much NEEDS to come out of it.
It becomes difficult to sell hand made items simply because of the fact that it takes forever to make them. Nobody really understands how much work goes into making these works of art. So when she goes to sell them for the price that they are WORTH, they are too expensive for the buyer. They are probably worth 60+ American dollars to a real life knitter. I would say between 20-40 dollars to a NON-knitter is appropriate.
