Would cable cast-on be appropriate for knitting a baby hat?
I’ve used cable cast-on before when making beanies and the edge looks a lot nicer compared to regular cast-on. However, I know that cable cast-on is very rigid, so I’m wondering whether I should just stick to regular cast-on to avoid ribbing that’s too tight. Any opinions?
I nearly always use cable cast-on and have made many baby items. I don’t find it rigid, it just gives a firm edge and never have problems with it being too tight.
