SIMPLE knitted baby blanket free pattern?
I’m a beginner, and I want to be able to knit a little blanket for my cousin for Christmas, and it has to be done by Christmas to go with the cute little hat I knitted him. I started making squares, and I’d sew all the squares together, but if there is an easier way, PLEASE let me know. Easy ten points!!
Thanks! -Bear
This is the easiest one: http://www.scribd.com/doc/122652/Baby-Blanket
An advantage is if you run short of time you can make it smaller without it being noticeable because you set the size by increasing diagonally until the two short sides of the triangle are the length you want the sides of the square blanket to be, then you start decreasing again down to the last corner.
I made one for a friend’s baby with two skeins of yarn by going until I got low on the first skein then starting the decreases. (You do want to start the decreases before the actual end of the first skein because the second half may not use exactly the same amount and you’d rather have yarn left over than run short and have to go back for an additional skein.)
