Beginners Kid’s Crochet Projects?
I work at an after school care facility. Next month I will be leading a crochet “club” for any interested students from 3rd through 5th grade. As far as I know, none of these kids know how to even chain. Once they get the hang of that, and of single crochet (maybe even double?) are there any simple crochet patterns that might appeal to children in this age group? I am expecting mostly girls to attend, but who knows, there might be a boy or two that shows up!

Here are some cute ideas, stuffed animals, pet toys, crochet pencil toppers, of course scarves and hats. there are also lots of bags, and ipod covers and cell phone cozies.
